Recent developments have sparked concerns over the stability of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s marriage, leading many to believe that their relationship might be nearing its end.
In June, news surfaced that the couple was quietly selling their marital home in Beverly Hills. After failing to attract buyers, they officially listed the property on July 11 for $68 million. Having purchased it last year for about $61 million and considering the expenses on the L.A. mansion tax, real estate commissions, and several million in renovations, it appears they will barely break even.
Ben Affleck Purchases New Home Amid Divorce Speculations
Reports suggest that Ben Affleck has bought his own home, fueling rumors of an impending divorce from Jennifer Lopez. For some time now, JLo has been searching for a house of her own. Speculations about their separation have been circulating since May, with Ben reportedly moving his belongings out while JLo was vacationing in Europe.
According to media sources, Ben has recently closed escrow on a multi-million dollar estate in Pacific Palisades for $20.5 million. The new residence features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a breakfast and dining area, a family room, a den, a walk-in closet, a media room, a powder room, a guest house, and more.
Signs Point to Divorce
Observers have been piecing together the signs that the couple might be heading for divorce just two years after their nuptials. Despite being spotted wearing their wedding rings in recent months, many outlets report that their marriage may not survive. The combination of selling their home and Ben’s new property purchase suggests that divorce is imminent.
