Famed “King of the Cowboys” Roy Rogers and “Queen of the West” Dale Evans were among the first Hollywood television stars.

Rogers became the most famous western performer of his day thanks to his iconic roles as singing cowboy Trigger and faithful palomino horse. He had his own show, Roy Rogers Show, and appeared in more than a hundred films.

Between his marriages to Grace Arline Wilkins and Dale Evans, Rogers produced nine offspring. His offspring did like he did in Hollywood, but others opted for quieter careers. Presented here is an in-depth examination of Roy Rogers’ offspring:

Grace Arline Wilkins and Cheryl Rogers adopted Cheryl from Hope Cottage in Texas in 1941. Cheryl had cameo appearances in films like Meet Roy Rogers and Trail of Robin Hood alongside her beloved father’s horse Trigger while she was a child.

Two years subsequent to Cheryl’s adoption, Grace became a mother and gave birth to Linda Lou Rogers. For more than 40 years, until Gary Johnson’s death in 2008, Linda was married to the priest Gary. Their children and grandkids fill Linda’s life in California.

Roy Rogers Jr., better known as “Dusty,” is Roy Rogers’s only biological son. Shortly after he was born, Grace died of problems related to childbirth. As a young boy, Dusty made an appearance on The Roy Rogers Show. He went on to manage his father. Roy Rogers Jr. and the High Riders were his bands, and he was also a member of the Sons of the Pioneers.

Dear Robin, Elizabeth Rogers: Robin was born to Dale Evans and Elizabeth Rogers. Mumps difficulties took Robin’s life before she turned two years old; she was born with Down syndrome. In her honor, Dale penned Angel Unaware.

Native American Dodie Rogers was adopted when she was seven months old. They had a daughter, Kristin, after she wed NASA worker Jon Patterson. Now Dodie has grandkids of her own.

The Scottish capital of Edinburgh is the birthplace of Marion Fleming, better known as Mimi Rogers. She became a member of Roy and Dale’s family after they adopted her after meeting her in a children’s home and being so moved by her singing that they transported her to California. After marrying a Marine, Mimi had three children with Dan before he died. Gramma Mimi has become a grandma.

Orphaned during the Korean War, Deborah Lee Rogers found a forever home through adoption. Tragically, she and other youngsters from her church died in a bus accident in Los Angeles when she was 12 years old.

Following Robin’s passing, John David “Sandy” Rogers came into the world via adoption. Sadly, he passed away at the age of 18 while choking in a military hospital in Germany after enlisting in the United States Army.

Tom Fox: Roy and Dale brought up Tom, who was actually Dale’s biological son from her previous marriage. Before his death in 2012, he had a career as a music minister and educator.

As a testament to their unwavering family principles and lasting impact, the story of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans’s family is a tapestry of happiness, sorrow, and love.
