    American comic legend Carol Burnett is most remembered for her revolutionary 1967–1978 comedy variety show, The Carol Burnett Show.

    Palm Royale is a story that takes place on Palm Beach, Florida in 1969, and Burnett, who is 91 years old, continues to captivate viewers with her performance in the show.

    Her parents were alcoholics, so Burnett’s grandmother took it upon herself to raise her after she was born on April 26, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas. Burnett attended USC for theatrical school after the family relocated to Hollywood in the 1940s. In 1957, she became an instant star after performing a parody song on The Ed Sullivan Show that mocked the teen idol status of Elvis Presley.

    Years of Impressive Shows

    Burnett has had outstanding performances in films, musicals, and Broadway shows, in addition to her legendary TV show. Shows that she has been in on Broadway include Love Letters (2014), Hollywood Arms (2002), Putting It Together (1999), Moon Over Buffalo (1995), Fade Out – Fade In (1964), and Once Upon a Mattress (1959). The Four Seasons(1981), Pete ‘n’ Tillie(1972), and The Front Page(1974) are just a few of her numerous feature film credits. She was unbelievably talented and versatile in every character she played.
