People all throughout the nation who want to go to college and have good grades are unable to do so due to the escalating expense of tuition in the United States, which is why universal college education is not an option.

However, the favorite rapper of Nicki Minaj’s legion of Twitter followers is eager to lend a hand.

Minaj announced on Saturday night via Twitter that she would be flying contest winners from all around the globe to attend the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas to hang out with her. A single inquiry quickly expanded the reach of what had begun as an already selfless deed.

You want to foot the bill for my college? Someone named @cjbydesign replied on Twitter.

Minaj was game, even though the request was a little too direct and even unpleasant.

Minaj didn’t just give away her generosity to a select few contest winners; she chose 30 deserving admirers who had worked hard to further their studies but were still short on funds.

Minaj was the only donor during a 30-minute impromptu education fundraiser that followed.

One stipulation of the Minaj Scholarship was that all recipients were required to provide evidence of a 4.0 GPA.

The Grammy-winning rapper then chipped in to cover early tuition, existing loans, and other expenses (like books) associated with attending the university. One media production student even had her camera purchased by her.

Minaj has been active in educational projects before. She collaborated with the Get Schooled Foundation in 2011 to encourage more students to show up to high school.

According to College Board, in-state residents paid over $9,600 at public universities and over $33,000 at private colleges for the 2016–2017 academic year. Housing, food, and books can add another several thousand dollars to the total.

According to data compiled by student loan management company Student Loan Hero, the average amount of debt carried by 2016 graduates was $37,000. A delinquency rate of 11.2% (defined as being 90 days or more past due or in default) applies to the approximately $1.4 trillion in outstanding student loan balances held by Americans.

That sum is slightly lower than it was on Saturday afternoon, all because of Minaj, and thirty people who are trying to better themselves via education now have a better chance of affording college.

Minaj intends to do it again in about a month or two to assist straight-A kids who are having trouble paying for college but did not get support the first time around.
