Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has undergone planned abdominal surgery at a private hospital in London, as announced by Kensington Palace. The successful operation will require her to remain in the hospital for ten to 14 days. Due to the medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

In a lengthy statement, Kensington Palace shared details of the surgery and extended Kate’s apologies for postponing upcoming events. The statement emphasized her desire to maintain normalcy for her children and the wish for her personal medical information to remain private. The Princess of Wales looks forward to reinstating her engagements as soon as possible.

Concerned fans on social media expressed their wishes for Kate’s speedy recovery, with prayers for her well-being. The 14-day hospital stay has raised questions, but People Magazine sources reveal that the reason for the surgery is non-cancerous. Once discharged, Kate is expected to recover at her family home in Windsor, where she and Prince William relocated in 2022.

During Kate’s hospital stay, Prince William will reduce his public engagements to assist in caring for their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The couple’s long-time nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, will provide assistance, ensuring the children’s well-being. Kate’s previous sentiments about hospitals highlight her desire to return home swiftly, expressing her preference for normalcy over hospital stays. The developing story will likely see updates on Kate’s recovery and return to public duties.
