ZZ Top Drummer Frank Beard Dies at 77, Leaving Behind More Than Five Decades of Rock History
Frank Beard, the legendary drummer who helped define the unmistakable sound of ZZ Top for more than five decades, died on August 17, 2026, at the age of 77.
The musician passed away while receiving hospice care at his ranch in Richmond, Texas, surrounded by family members. His death was announced by the band the following day.
