    Finding a moth in your flour, rice, or cereal can be an unpleasant surprise. Pantry moths are one of the most common household pests, and once they get into your kitchen, they can spread quickly if not dealt with promptly.

    These small gray or brown insects, often called pantry moths or Indian meal moths, are attracted to dry foods stored at room temperature. Their larvae commonly infest flour, rice, pasta, oats, cereal, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, pet food, spices, and even chocolate.
