Lauren Alaina Opens Up About New Holiday Traditions With Baby Beni Doll

Kelly WhitewoodBy Kelly WhitewoodDecember 17, 20253 Mins Read

This Christmas is an especially meaningful one for Lauren Alaina and her husband, Cam, as they celebrate the holidays for the first time with their daughter, Beni Doll.

In past years, the couple spent December crisscrossing the country to visit each side of their families — a tradition made easier because they were the youngest in their households. Now, with a baby in the mix, Alaina says the way they celebrate is naturally beginning to shift.

“This will probably be the last year we can travel the way we always have,” Alaina shared with Country Now during a Pupdate session. “She’s still small enough that it’s manageable, but next year we’ll start building traditions that are specifically for Beni.”

Among the childhood memories she’s excited to pass down is decorating cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve — something she plans to include Beni in this year regardless of whether the six-month-old understands what’s happening.

“I can’t wait. She won’t have a clue what’s going on, but she’s definitely participating,” Alaina joked.

After spending time with Alaina’s side of the family, the trio will head to Cam’s family farm for Christmas Day. For the singer, the holidays have always been about connection and joy — which makes celebrating as a new family of three especially emotional this year.

“We’ve talked about creating new traditions for her starting next year,” she said. “She’ll still be little, but the year after that she’ll really start noticing everything. For now, we’re just thrilled to share the holidays with her. Christmas is about family and love, and that’s what a baby brings every single day.”

Of course, traveling with an infant brings challenges of its own, and Alaina laughed that packing has become an entirely new operation.

“We have to bring everything but the kitchen sink,” she joked. “She’s easy to travel with, but wow — babies require a lot.”

Lauren and Cam will mark their second wedding anniversary in February. They welcomed Beni on June 11, 2025, and the experience has transformed their lives “in the best possible way,” she says.

Alaina has already had a small glimpse of what touring as a new mom will feel like — but the real test begins when she joins Rascal Flatts as they restart their Life Is a Highway Tour in January 2026.
