Donald Trump Recalls Charlie Kirk’s Last Message in Emotional Tribute

Kelly WhitewoodBy Kelly WhitewoodSeptember 22, 20252 Mins Read

About 90,000 people came to Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on September 21, 2025, to pay their respects to Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist whose death shocked the whole country. President Donald Trump gave a heartfelt speech in which he praised Kirk’s patriotism and promised justice for his death.

Trump called Kirk a martyr for American freedom and praised his work to stop violence in cities. The president said Kirk’s last words, “Please, sir, save Chicago,” and promised to fight crime in cities all over the country in Kirk’s memory. This really struck a chord with the crowd, showing how Kirk’s work is still having an effect.

Trump blamed local leaders for letting crime continue during the memorial, saying they weren’t doing enough to stop urban violence. He told Kirk’s widow, Erika, and his parents how sorry he was for their loss and praised their strength and faith in the face of grief.

There were also talks about what happened before Kirk died. Trump confirmed that the suspect had been arrested and promised that police work and larger investigations into radical groups that promote violence would continue at a high level. He wanted more than just police action to deal with the problem.

The memorial service was one of the biggest public events ever for a private citizen. It was shown live all over the country. It showed how much Kirk meant to conservatives and how sad everyone in the country was.

Kirk was shot and killed on September 10 at an event at Utah Valley University. After the tragedy, investigations sped up, and officials stressed how complicated the case was. Leaders from all over the country paid their respects to Kirk, talking about his lasting legacy and the country’s shared grief.
