Riley Green Announces 2026 Cowboy As It Gets Tour

Riley Green has never claimed to be a cowboy — and that honesty may be what makes his music resonate the most.

This morning, the Alabama native announced his 2026 Cowboy As It Gets Tour, a headlining run that kicks off April 16 in Southaven, Mississippi, and will stretch through August 22 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Produced by Live Nation, the trek will bring Green to both arenas and outdoor amphitheaters across the U.S., with support from Justin Moore and special guests including Drake White, Mackenzie Carpenter, Zach John King, Hannah McFarland, and Adam Hood on select dates.

A Tour Named After a Song That Hits Close to Home

The tour’s title comes from “Cowboy As It Gets,” Green’s duet with Randy Houser on his recently released Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe) album. Co-written with Tucker Beathard and Randy Montana, the song is a tribute to Green’s father and the kind of grit he grew up admiring:

    “And he ain’t from Texas
And he don’t rope and ride
    But he’s wide-open reckless
    Never runs from a fight…”

The track isn’t about ranching or rodeo, but about toughness, resilience, and working with your hands — qualities that, to Green, embody the cowboy spirit just as much as spurs and saddles.

In an interview with Billboard, Green explained:

“We didn’t have a lot of real cowboying going on where I was at. It was just people that I thought were tough or worked with their hands. Those qualities were what made someone a cowboy to me when I was a kid. That’s before I wrote the song about my dad, so that’s a pretty good sentiment for a tour name.”

    Why It Matters

The song — and the tour name — feel like a refreshing departure from the overly polished “cowboy” image often marketed in country music. Green isn’t pretending to be something he’s not. Instead, he’s doubling down on what has made him a fan favorite: honesty, tradition, and songs that reflect his own roots.

As the lyrics remind us, you don’t have to be from Texas or rope cattle to be “cowboy at heart.” Sometimes it’s about showing up, putting in the work, and never backing down. That message, paired with Green’s reputation as one of the genre’s most relentless road warriors, makes this tour one of 2026’s most anticipated.
