    Video circulating online shows him sitting beneath a tent marked “The American Comeback” as a gunshot rang out. Just seconds earlier, an audience member had asked about mass shootings. Kirk began to answer — “Counting or not counting gang violence—” — before collapsing mid-sentence.

    At a press conference, UVU Police Chief Jeff Long admitted heartbreak over the tragedy:
