Jelly Roll Meets John Cena in Paris, Calls Him “The GOAT” in Dream Wrestling Moment
Jelly Roll just lived every wrestling fan’s fantasy — and completely lost it in the best way possible.
On August 31 in Paris, the country hitmaker was sitting front row with tour partner Post Malone when WWE legend John Cena walked over after a match. Still sweaty and bruised from the fight, Cena stopped to hug both singers and shake their hands. Jelly’s face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.
He later shared the video with the caption: “Somebody pinch me y’all. The 17-time world champion. The Doctor of Thuganomics. The GOAT.” For a man who’s sold out arenas and even stepped into the ring himself, Jelly Roll was still geeking out like a lifelong fan in the cheap seats.
Wrestling Superfan Dreams Come True
This wasn’t a random brush with fame — Jelly Roll has been a diehard wrestling fan his whole life. Earlier this summer, he even made an in-ring appearance at WWE SummerSlam, teaming with Randy Orton in a tag match against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. At one point, he was slammed through the announcer’s table — and though he lost the match, he called it one of his greatest memories. Meeting Cena, however, took it to another level.
Cena, with 17 world championships under his belt, is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Jelly crowned him “The GOAT” without hesitation — and the Paris handshake felt like one superstar saluting another.
A Full-Circle European Tour
The timing couldn’t have been more meaningful. Jelly is currently on his first-ever European run, opening for Post Malone’s Big Ass World Tour. For years, his criminal record kept him from traveling overseas, forcing him to sit out international dates. Now, free of those barriers, he’s playing shows across Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France — soaking in every milestone along the way.
He’s been updating fans constantly, writing: “STILL cannot believe I’m in Europe right now. I love you Posty I love you Posty I love you Posty.” Add John Cena to the mix, and it feels like Jelly is checking off every dream on his list in real time.
Fans React
Fans couldn’t get enough of the moment, praising Jelly for staying humble and relatable even as his career soars. Many called him “living proof that anything is possible.”
Because that’s the essence of Jelly Roll’s story: a kid from Antioch who grew up on wrestling and rap tapes, never thinking he’d one day be sitting ringside in Paris, hugging John Cena as the WWE icon called him “brother.”
For Jelly, this wasn’t just entertainment. It was proof of how far he’s come — from surviving addiction and jail time to conquering the country charts and the world stage. Meeting Cena was more than a dream. It was a championship moment.
