Savannah Blackstock Lee, daughter of the late Brandon Blackstock, revealed she was expecting a baby with her husband just one month before her father’s passing.
The 23-year-old Florida-based realtor, who already shares a 3-year-old son named Lake with Quentin Lee, shared her joy on social media in early July—weeks before the talent manager died at age 48.
At the time, Savannah posted a heartfelt message alongside her announcement, which has since been made private:
“We’ve been keeping a couple sweet surprises. One little girl will be making her arrival at the beginning of January, and another beautiful girl named Julianna, who has already been one of the greatest blessings to our family.”
Expressing gratitude for her faith, she added, “He’s written a story we never could’ve imagined, and His kindness in this season has left us in awe. He’s answered prayers we never even knew how to pray. This journey has been so special—full of peace, excitement, and so much grace. We’re growing again, and our hearts are so full. Thank you, Jesus.”
Savannah’s daughter is expected in January 2026.
Brandon Blackstock was a father of four. He shared Savannah and son Seth with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth, to whom he was married from 2001 to 2012. He later married Kelly Clarkson, welcoming daughter River in 2014 and son Remington in 2016. The couple divorced in 2022 after separating in 2020.
Blackstock’s death was announced on August 7 in a statement from the family:
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”
The night before the news broke, Kelly Clarkson postponed her Las Vegas residency, explaining she needed to be “fully present” for her children while their father was ill. She thanked fans for their “grace, kindness, and understanding.”
A source later told PEOPLE that Clarkson was “devastated” by his death: “When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their sake. Kelly has always tried to keep things classy. It became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well. She’s been devastated for the kids.”
