John Michael Montgomery Becomes a Grandpa — And the First Song Baby Charlotte Heard Is One Close to His Heart
Country singer John Michael Montgomery is officially a grandfather, and the touching way his family marked the occasion has fans smiling across social media.

Earlier this week, Travis Denning — Montgomery’s son-in-law and fellow country artist — shared a sweet video revealing that his newborn daughter Charlotte’s very first song was none other than “Rope the Moon,” John’s 1994 hit.

That choice was far from random. The ballad has deep meaning for the family, as John has long dedicated the song to his daughter Madison — now Charlotte’s mom — during his live performances.

“I got to pick Charlotte’s first song she would ever hear,” Travis said. “At first I felt like I had a lot of options… but then I remembered I know a guy who dedicates this song to her mama every night he’s on stage. It was a no-brainer.”

He added, “Charlotte Lane Denning is here and our lives have never been better.”

Welcome to the World, Baby Charlotte
To announce Charlotte’s arrival, Travis and Madison shared two heartwarming photos. One showed their daughter wrapped in a monogrammed swaddle, complete with an oversized bow. The other captured the new parents beaming at the camera, Madison holding their baby in her arms.

Back in March, the couple revealed they were expecting a baby girl with a set of glowing maternity photos and a caption that read: “Baby girl Denning arriving July 2025.”

    John Michael Montgomery’s Heartfelt Reaction
The proud grandfather couldn’t hide his excitement. Sharing the news on his Instagram Story, John wrote: “So happy to be a grandpa!”

Charlotte is John Michael Montgomery’s first grandchild, and her birth marks a special milestone for the singer. He and his wife Crystal are parents to two children — Madison and their son Walker Montgomery, who is also pursuing a career in country music.

Over the years, John has often posted about his family, showing just how much they mean to him. Now, with baby Charlotte’s arrival, there’s one more Montgomery to celebrate — and her first lullaby came straight from Grandpa’s heart.
