George Strait Announces Intimate Benefit Concert for Texas Flood Victims
Country music icon George Strait is stepping up once again for his fellow Texans. On Friday, July 11, the legendary singer revealed plans for a special benefit concert and dinner to support those affected by the recent devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country.
Titled “Strait To The Heart,” the event will take place on Sunday, July 27 at the Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena in Boerne, Texas. Strait is teaming up with longtime friend and Vaqueros del Mar business partner Tom Cusick to host the event.
“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” Strait shared in a statement. “Our goal is to raise meaningful, immediate support that goes straight into the hands of flood victims, while also honoring the first responders who work around the clock to protect lives.”
Cusick echoed the urgency of the moment:
“The need is immediate, and we didn’t want to wait. This is a chance to show that when disaster hits, Texans — and all Americans — come together.”
Star-Studded Lineup
The benefit will feature a performance by George Strait himself, along with a powerhouse roster of country stars, including:
William Beckman
Ray Benson
Wade Bowen
Dean Dillon
Riley Green
Randy Houser
Jamey Johnson
Kyle Park
Hudson Westbrook
Members of Strait’s Ace in the Hole Band
Strait thanked each of the artists for lending their voices and time to help raise vital funds for the families impacted by the floods.
How To Attend or Help
This will be an intimate evening, with only 1,000 guests able to attend. Tickets and table packages start at $1,000. Local first responders will be given complimentary tickets as a thank-you for their service.
All proceeds will go to the Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund, a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Funds will be distributed directly to affected families and established local aid organizations in the Hill Country.

A Long History of Giving Back
Strait is no stranger to using his platform for good. From his 2021 “We’re Texas” benefit supporting families hit by severe winter storms, to this latest effort, the King of Country consistently shows up when Texas needs him most.
As always, his message is simple: stand together, help where you can, and lead with heart.
