Cheating Wife Accidentally Livestreams Her Rendezvous on Family’s Smart Home System

MY SMART HOME SYSTEM EXPOSED MY WIFE’S BETRAYAL

I had always trusted Melissa—my wife of seven years, my partner, my best friend. But technology had other plans.

“WHY IS SOMEONE IN MY HOUSE?”
For the past few weeks, I had been spending more time at my brother Liam’s house. His youngest daughter, Sophie, had been diagnosed with leukemia. I tried to be there as much as possible—to give her strength and support my family. That afternoon, Liam was out running errands, so it was just me, his wife Emma, and the girls. We were laughing and playing a board game when suddenly— BZZZ! My phone buzzed. Then again. And again. A notification from my smart home system. “Motion detected in the living room.” My stomach tightened. Melissa was still at work, and no one else had the access code. Who the hell was in my house?

THE LIVE FEED THAT SHATTERED ME
I excused myself, walked into the kitchen, and opened the live security feed. And then—I froze. Melissa. She was in the living room, wearing that tight black skirt she always said was “just for me.” But she wasn’t alone. A man stood close to her. Too close. He put his hands on her waist. She smiled. Then she grabbed his tie and pulled him in— And the man turned his face toward the camera. I staggered backward. It was LIAM.

    BETRAYED BY FAMILY
I clutched the counter, nausea rolling over me. My brother and my wife. Behind my back. While I was with his sick daughter. I watched as they kissed, laughing. Liam whispered something in her ear. She giggled, resting her hand on his chest like she belonged there. Like she hadn’t just destroyed everything.

    TIME FOR PAYBACK
I returned to the living room, my face blank. Emma noticed immediately. “Is everything okay?” she asked, concern in her eyes. I looked at her. At my nieces. I couldn’t tell her. Not yet. Not like this. Instead, I texted Melissa.

Me: Hey, babe. I’m heading home early. Let’s have dinner together.

I watched the live feed as she and Liam jumped apart. She smoothed her skirt, grabbed her purse, and hurried out the door. Perfect. I had just enough time to prepare their punishment.

    THE EXPOSURE
When I got home, Melissa was in the kitchen, acting normal.

“Hey, honey!” She smiled. “How was your day?”

    I smirked.

    “Oh, it was eye-opening.”

Then I pulled out my phone, connected it to the TV, and hit play.

The footage blazed across the screen.

    Her. Liam. The betrayal.

    Melissa went pale.

    “W-Where did you—” she stammered.

“From the same smart home system you used to feel safe in,” I cut her off.

She opened her mouth, but before she could lie, I stepped aside—

    And revealed Emma.

I had texted her right after Melissa left the house.

    She had seen everything.

Liam walked in a few minutes later. One look at the screen, at his weeping wife, and his face crumbled.

    I didn’t need to say a word.

    Because karma had just arrived.

    And it was glorious.
