Princes William and Harry, estranged by years of distance and duty, reunited for the first and only time this year—not for diplomacy, but for love. It was their mother’s 63rd birthday, and they chose to honor her not with speeches or ceremony, but with something far more personal: silence, song, and memory. Inside a quiet London hotel suite, with only a piano and a flickering candle between them, the brothers shared stories, laughter, and finally, a trembling duet of the song they once sang for Diana as children. Staff standing nearby were said to be frozen by emotion—some sobbing silently—as the future king and his brother, stripped of status, became only sons again. When the final note faded, Harry turned to William and whispered, “She would’ve loved this,” to which William replied, “She never left.” And in that moment, every heart in the room broke—and began to heal.

Global pop icon Katy Perry is about to make history—not on stage, but in space. She’s set to join Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission, which will mark the first all-female crew flight on New Shepard’s 11th human voyage this spring.

Alongside Perry, whose dazzling performances and record-breaking hits have earned her the title of Capitol Records’ top-selling female artist and billions of streams worldwide, are five trailblazers from diverse fields. Astronaut hopeful Aisha Bowe, a former NASA rocket scientist and tech entrepreneur; activist and bioastronautics researcher Amanda Nguyen, celebrated as a TIME Woman of the Year; veteran journalist Gayle King of CBS Mornings; nonprofit leader and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn; and Emmy Award-winning pilot and journalist Lauren Sánchez—all ready to push the boundaries of exploration.

Known also for her humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and through her Firework Foundation, Perry expressed her excitement on Instagram, recalling her childhood dreams and the desire to inspire her daughter and future generations to reach for the stars. Even as she prepares for space, she’s gearing up to launch “The Lifetimes Tour” this April, balancing rehearsals with astronaut training.

This historic NS-31 flight is not just a scientific milestone but a cultural one, echoing the pioneering spirit of Valentina Tereshkova—the first woman in space—and embodying Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos’ vision of building a pathway to space for future generations.
