Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis seem to be growing up rapidly. Naturally, George will become king, and Charlotte and Louis’ royal lives will be fantastic. Prince William and Kate Middleton seem to understand that the most essential thing for now is that they stay kids.
While the three royal children age quietly in their royal home, their relatives in the US are doing the same in a multimillion-dollar house. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet live far from the British press, but their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have kept them in the news.
Unfortunately, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have lost communication with their uncle Harry, with whom George and Charlotte had a close relationship before he departed the Royal Family.
That may soon haunt Prince William and Kate Middleton, with a royal expert predicting a grim future.
When he heard about Prince George’s birth in 2013, Prince Harry was the happiest uncle ever. Harry admitted he wanted to visit for daily play dates and quality time, but in Spare, he wrote that William and Kate had blocked him out and “never invited” him.
“I assumed I would be invited to their house anytime. But days passed, and it didn’t happen,” he said. I thought, I understand. People are busy! Family building! Or maybe three’s a crowd. Harry wrote in Spare, “Maybe marrying will change things.”
Two years later, William and Kate had Princess Charlotte, and Harry bonded with his nephew and niece. Prince Louis was only two years old when the Duke departed the UK, and it’s evident that the youngest of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children had no real link to Harry.
Prince Harry’s connection with George, Charlotte, and Louis
Harry has stated that he wants to be involved with the kids. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, his children, have never seen their cousins, which is another terrible part of his “exile”.
Due to his youth, Louis never had a bond with his uncle Harry like his older siblings did. Harry went out of his way to give his youngest nephew a fantastic gift for his christening.
Harry worked hard to find the best christening gift for Louis. His mother, Princess Diana, loved collecting first editions, he remembered. Harry wanted to start a new chapter with his nephews and nieces to continue the tradition.
“Harry’s favorite childhood memory was his mother reading him bedtime stories. She adored ancient classics, and Harry had the bright idea of building a modest library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte, and George to enjoy as they become older, a source told the Daily Record.
His mother inspired Prince Harry’s present to Prince Louis.
Harry bought a first edition of Winnie the Pooh. Approximately £8,000 ($10,000).
Harry reportedly chose a rare edition from the 1926 print run of 30,000.
“He wanted Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass, which was on sale for £24,000, but Winnie-The-Pooh was better for a first book. William liked Robinson Crusoe, but Harry loved A.A. Milne, the source said.
But while Harry obviously enjoys his brother’s children, tragically, he also holds reservations. The Duke expressed concerns about Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis being “spares” like him in a Telegraph interview to promote his book.
Harry stated, “Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare
That pains and worries me.”
Harry explained: “I was born to backup, distract, divert, and, if necessary, replace Willy. Kidney? Maybe. A blood transfusion. Marrow speck. This was made plain to me from the outset and reinforced throughout my life.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton “aware” of ‘Spare’ issues
Royal analyst Ingrid Seward advised Harry to “lay off Prince William’s children” for his comments regarding Charlotte and Louis.
Harry may worry, but recent reports say Prince William and Kate Middleton have everything under control.
Prince and Princess of Wales “must be acutely aware” of the challenges that could arise with Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte being “spare,” royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror.
“They have already shown that they have a different and modern attitude to bringing up royal children and I’m sure they will do everything to make Charlotte and Louis feel every bit as special, loved and valued as George,” Bond told the Mirror.
It is likely that they will encourage Louis to venture outside the royal family. It might be the military, charity work, or something else he likes after school. They will probably encourage him to attend university, which they enjoyed and where they found love.”
The royal expert added: “From there, they will want him to find a meaningful life that is appropriate for a future king’s son. They will try to make him feel like he’s living a meaningful life, regardless of his place in the succession, and that may involve service, as they’ve stressed that they want their children to understand that empathy is not only kind but also rewarding.
Expert: Prince Louis may have ‘own career’ away from royal spotlight
William and Kate may push Louis to do new activities and find his interest outside of royal life, as Bond recommended. If he stays in the royal family, he may receive a key position and important titles.
Bond’s not the only one who thinks Prince Louis could do more than royal engagements. Camilla Tominey, royal analyst and associate editor at The Telegraph, told Yahoo that Prince William and Kate Middleton would like Charlotte and Louis to “have their own careers” if they wanted.
“[William & Kate] don’t want history to repeat itself and Prince Louis seem like a royal hanger-on and go down the Duke of York path,” she told the Telegraph.
“A lot of the more minor royals have careers of their own so they aren’t really tax payer funded,” she said. “The Cambridges’ efforts to normalize their children’s lives suggest that Prince George has his destiny mapped out, but Princess Charlotte and Louis have their own careers?’”
Tominey concluded: “They’ve got to get the balance right of what their own children want to do with their lives and their royal commitments.”
Future royals may be fewer than usual. Will there be enough royals?
It would never be the “heir and spare” in their family.
Parenting expert Jo Frost told Hello! Magazine that the Prince and Princess of Wales would never let Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis become “heir and spare” to Prince George.
“I think William and Catherine understand the importance of nurturing the sibling relationships between the three of them,” Frost added.
“I dare say, their family would never have a ‘heir and spare’. It would be about their importance. The realization that it needs a team to uphold the crown and monarchy.”
The relationship specialist said, “And so, we’re seeing these very early seeds now, with respect to what it means to support each other and nurture together.”
Unlike Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Louis has no fond memories of Harry. Whether the kids realize why their uncle is gone may soon alter.
Lydia Alty, royal analyst, told GB News that the three royal children are ‘likely asking questions’ about Harry and what happened after he left.
Prince Louis and his siblings “likely ask questions” about Harry.
Prince Harry was close to his brother William. She added he was close to Prince William’s wife, the Princess of Wales, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Despite his assertions, Harry was close to his father. George, Charlotte, and Louis will be affected by the royals’ division and silence.
Lydia Alty continued, “His nephews and niece will probably be wondering why they haven’t seen their uncle and cousins.”
