My Husband Didn’t Take Me on Vacation with His Family – I Found Out Why after Unexpected Help from My Mother-in-Law

It is a yearly custom for Layla’s husband, Tom, to take the family on a vacation, but she is not invited to participate in this practice. Layla ultimately confronts Tom why she is not permitted to attend after being excluded for a number of years, only for Tom to lie and say that he places the blame on his mother. However, when Layla did her own investigation, she and her mother-in-law came across a family secret that caused the family to become estranged from one another.

Since we went through the process of getting married, my husband, Tom, has been taking his family on an annual trip to an island. It’s been twelve years since I’ve been absent from family vacations.

Instead of canceling this one, why don’t you just cancel it so that we may take the kids on vacation instead? While I was preparing a salad to accompany our meal, I inquired.

He responded, “Why would I do that?” in response. It will be a chaotic situation because the children are too young. We will be able to begin discussing holidays with them once they have reached an older age. What about me? I inquired. “Are you certain that your mother won’t mind?”
