Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, is grieving the loss of the guy she will love “unconditionally and completely” for “the rest of [her] life.” Fans worldwide are still processing the tragedy.

Four days before his tragic fall, Cassidy left Payne in Argentina and returned to Florida, stating she “hates staying in one place for too long.”

The social media influencer was spotted for the first time since her boyfriend’s death, and followers are worried about her. They told her, “It’s not your fault.”

The former One Direction member was traveling the world with Kate Cassidy, whom he started dating in October 2022, in the months before his death.

In August, the pair visited Italy, London, and France; in September, Greece; then on October 12, Cassidy, 25, returned to Florida, leaving Payne in Buenos Aires.

On October 14, the influencer posted a TikTok video explaining her decision to go home.

“I was so ready to leave,” Cassidy says in the October 14 video. I love South America but dread staying put. What was meant to be five days became two weeks.”

“I said, ‘I need to go home…I loved coming home.” The social media influencer says, “It was so relieving.”

She was devastated when the man she loved “unconditionally” died from the third-floor balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel room two days later.

Cassidy originally spoke out in an Instagram Story two days after Payne’s October 16 death.

“I’m lost. She wrote that the preceding three days have felt unreal. “I ask and pray that you’ll give me grace and space to navigate this privately.”

Cassidy says, “My angel, Liam. You’re everything. I loved you entirely and unreservedly. My love for you will never end. Liam, I adore you.”

Cassidy went pet supply shopping with two friends on October 20 for the first time since Payne died.

The usually elegant woman wore gray baggy sweatpants, an enormous t-shirt, and no cosmetics on her stunning face. The Daily Mail reported that she walked Nala, the couple’s foster dog rescued weeks before Payne’s death.

Fans weren’t interested in the dog or her casual clothes. Her expression showed her pain.

People online sympathized with Cassidy and supported the woman they called “gutted.”

“My heart aches for her…One user says, “She looks exhausted.” A second says, “She is devastated and heartbroken. I can’t imagine her emotions.”

A third says, “I can’t imagine how broken she is. So much happened so fast.”

Other netizens beg Cassidy to forgive herself for leaving Payne alone in Argentina: “She looks sad; the guilt she must be feeling right now, wouldn’t have left him alone and even more so in those distressing circumstances!” A second user says, “She looks miserable. She deserves prayers for her guilt.”

A third says, “It’s not your fault, K.”

Another comments, “It’s clear you were the best for him, keeping him safe and making him smile every time…”It’s not your fault.”
