When it comes to their two children, Hollywood power couple George and Amal Clooney keep a low profile. The legendary actor is incredibly committed to his family; in fact, he once took a leave from acting to focus on his lovely wife.
George’s longtime friend and producing partner, Grant Heslov, who has known him since the 1980s, revealed how meeting Amal had impacted his life in a November 2020 interview. “I literally have never seen him happier,” Grant said.
George reportedly talks about Amal without being asked since he loves her. In the same Grant interview, George discussed his bachelorhood before meeting Amal. “I was like, ‘I’m never getting married. I won’t have kids.”
The actor said he was happy being a bachelor before marrying. Since he was successful, he focused on his career.
George thought his life was full because he had a good career and friends. He realized his life was empty after meeting Amal, noting, “I didn’t know how un-full it was.” Then everything changed. “Oh, actually, this has been a huge empty space.”
George said marriage transformed his life since he had never cared more about someone else than himself. The presence of their children also affected him.
The “Ocean’s Twelve” actor said fatherhood transformed his outlook. He enjoys being selfless and no longer seeing himself first. It’s great. “We feel lucky,” remarked the Oscar winner.
Alexander and Ella Cloney, twins, were born in London’s St. Mary’s Hospital on June 6, 2017, making Amal and George first-time parents. Their daughter Ella arrived two minutes after her brother Alexander.
George and Amal have never revealed Alexander and Ella’s photos since they were born.
The Clooneys’ Kids Rarely Appear in Public
The overly cautious father vowed to sue a French magazine for posting photos of his children some years ago.
In July 2017, George said, “Over the last week, photographers from Voici magazine scaled our fence, climbed our tree, and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home.”
The media outlet claimed the photos were Alexander and Ella’s first. The site noticed how eager people were to see the photos. George, Amal, Alexander, and Ella were photographed at their Lake Como, Italy, home.
After the magazine’s front cover featured grainy photographs, George said, “Make no mistake, the photographers, the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
George later wrote an open letter to the UK tabloid Daily Mail urging them and other media outlets to cease posting images of his son and daughter for fear of “real-world consequences.”
The filmmaker wrote that his wife’s profession as an international law and human rights lawyer “confronts” and prosecutes terrorist groups, putting his family at risk. Thus, the pair must protect their children’s privacy.
He added that since they don’t use social media, he and Amal have never sold a child photo. They “never post pictures” of themselves to protect their lives.
George said he could manage “intrusive” photos as a prominent figure, but his children didn’t.
He tried to hide the twins, but they were seen with their mother at one year old.

In a rare public appearance in December 2018, Amal Clooney left The Four Seasons hotel in Midtown Manhattan with Ella and Alexander in her arms. Wearing denim pants and Adidas sneakers, they held matching teddy bears.
That year, an informant said Alexander and Ella resemble their famous parents. “They’re too beautiful, simply adorable,” said the insider. George also thanked God for his kids’ mother’s sight in 2017.
The Clooneys love their kids despite keeping them private.
George’s son Alexander entered a room where his father was being questioned in 2020, and the proud parent was so happy to see him that he forgot the interviewer was there.
The child had brown hair and unusual teeth. His dad put him on his lap and talked to him, ignoring the interviewer.
