Keanu Reeves reveals serious injury he suffered recently while filming latest movie

Keanu Reeves, one of the most beloved celebrities of his generation, recently shared an unfortunate incident that had many fans concerned. Known for his kind demeanor and action-packed roles, Reeves revealed the details during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The 59-year-old actor has been busy filming his latest project, Good Fortune. During the interview, he recounted how he broke his kneecap, which surprised many given his history of performing stunts in films like The Matrix and the John Wick series.

When Colbert asked, “What happened? Who got to you?” Reeves responded in a playful tough guy voice, “No one got to me. Accident got to me.”

Colbert probed further, asking if the injury happened during a daring stunt. Reeves clarified, “No, Stephen, I was walking into the dressing room, a room. I will tell it quick.” He explained that the incident occurred while filming a scene for the comedy Good Fortune with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen. After a cold plunge, Reeves was doing the “cold shuffle” in a room with protective carpets when his foot got caught in a pocket.

To illustrate, Reeves stood up and demonstrated how his knee gave way, describing how he spiked his knee into the ground. “My patella, kneecap, cracked like a potato chip. But I didn’t know that. But then once my knee was blowing up,” he continued.

He humorously noted, “Comedy is hard, man,” emphasizing that this mishap did not occur during an action sequence but during a comedic scene. Stephen Colbert reiterated, “This was not an action film with Aziz and Rogen,” to which Reeves confirmed, “No, it was comedy.”

In January, Reeves had been spotted on crutches with an ice pack on his knee, indicating the severity of the injury at the time.

Good Fortune marks Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut, who also wrote and co-produced the film. The movie features a stellar cast including Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer alongside Reeves.

Fans will be relieved to know that Keanu Reeves has recovered well. Share this update with others who might be interested in how the actor is doing these days!
