    Hollywood, California is the site of Christina Applegate’s birth on November 25, 1971. She grew up in the spotlight as the daughter of Robert Applegate, a record producer, and Nancy Priddy, an actress. She made her television debut in a commercial for Playtex baby bottles when she was just three months old, kicking off her early acting career.

    Progression to Stardom: “Married… with Children”

    In 1987, Applegate landed her breakout role on the hit comedy “Married… with Children” as Kelly Bundy.

    She became famous all over the world for her portrayal of the cheesy but endearing character. She was established as a gifted comedy actor during the show’s eleven seasons.

    Applegate made the leap from television to film after her popularity on “Married… with Children,” starring in films including “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” (1991) and “The Sweetest Thing” (2002).
