Brad Pitt ‘devastated’ by children dropping his surname, and blames Angelina Jolie, claims source

Brad Pitt has been left ‘devastated’ by reports that his children are opting to drop his surname, a decision he attributes to his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s influence. Earlier this month, their 18-year-old daughter Shiloh legally changed her surname to Jolie upon reaching adulthood, a move that deeply affected Pitt. Shiloh is one of the couple’s six children, indicating a broader strain in their relationships. Similarly, their 15-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt recently appeared in a production under the name Vivienne Jolie, omitting Pitt from her surname.

Additionally, Zahara, 19, reportedly now uses the name Zahara Jolie, while the eldest sibling Maddox, 22, has also chosen not to use ‘Pitt’ in his surname. This shift in their children’s surnames comes amidst ongoing family dynamics, including their son Pax’s public criticism of Pitt in a resurfaced Instagram post from 2020, where he expressed grievances.

Sources close to Pitt have revealed that these changes have deeply affected him, viewing them as symbolic of a deeper estrangement that has developed over the years. According to these reports, Pitt believes that Jolie’s influence and the negative narrative she presents to the children hinder his efforts to reconnect with them. Despite his attempts, Pitt allegedly finds it challenging to alter their perceptions, given Jolie’s daily influence over them.

Since their high-profile divorce in 2019, Pitt and Jolie, once collectively known as ‘Brangelina,’ have been embroiled in legal battles and public disputes. Recent allegations from Jolie accusing Pitt of physical abuse, which he vehemently denies, further strain their relationship. The former couple also remains at odds over the sale of a French winery they purchased together.

The ongoing saga between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues to captivate public attention and provoke debate. What are your thoughts on this evolving situation? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section below.
