Actress Cameron Diaz, 51, and musician Benji Madden, 45, surprised fans by announcing the birth of their second child together, a son named Cardinal. The couple shared the news on Instagram, accompanied by a piece of artwork bearing the message, “A little bird whispered to me.”
In a joint statement, Madden expressed their excitement and gratitude for their newborn son, emphasizing their commitment to his safety and privacy by refraining from sharing photos. This discretion aligns with the couple’s longstanding preference for keeping their family life out of the public eye.
Their first child, daughter Raddix, was born in 2019, also announced on social media after her arrival. Diaz and Madden expressed their joy and gratitude for Raddix’s arrival, while also asserting their desire to shield her from the spotlight.
Sources close to the couple revealed that Raddix was born through surrogacy, highlighting the challenges the couple faced on their journey to parenthood. Despite some criticism from social media users regarding the couple’s age and choice of surrogacy, many fans have offered their congratulations and well-wishes to the growing family.
As Diaz, Madden, and their children embark on this new chapter, we extend our best wishes for their happiness and privacy. Join us in celebrating this joyous occasion and sending positive thoughts to the Diaz-Madden family!
