Jack Black does the best Tonight Show joke ever as his renowned Sax-A-Boom.
Jack Black’s Sax-A-Boom Performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Jack Black’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he played his iconic Sax-A-Boom, is one of the show’s most memorable moments. Known for incorporating the children’s toy into his live performances, Black humorously insisted that the Sax-A-Boom is a unique instrument that requires years of practice to master.
When Fallon produced a Sax-A-Boom on set, Black treated it with the reverence of a rare Stradivarius violin, promising the audience a “taste” of his skills. The performance that followed was a comedic masterpiece, with Black energetically playing the toy saxophone, which emitted pre-recorded melodies at the press of buttons. His exaggerated expressions and dance moves added to the hilarity, captivating the audience and earning their enthusiastic applause.
The fun didn’t stop there. Black approached The Roots, the house band, and their leader Questlove led them into a funky rhythm. Black and Fallon joined in with their dance moves, turning the segment into a standout moment on The Tonight Show. This performance has since become a viral sensation, amassing 95 million views on YouTube, and is ranked as the seventh most popular video on the show’s channel.
