Mariska Hargitay’s Enduring Love Story with Peter Hermann

Mariska Hargitay, renowned for her iconic role in “Law and Order: SVU,” shares a beautiful love story with husband Peter Hermann, which began on the set in 2001. Their journey, filled with laughter and tears, culminated in a wedding in 2004 and the birth of their son August in 2006.

While Hargitay’s career thrived, she also made investments in notable NYC properties. Currently, the family resides in an impressive $8.7 million Upper West Side townhouse, offering a six-story haven. The first floor features a modern kitchen, a cozy den, and access to a serene garden, providing the perfect retreat.

In 2011, Hargitay and Hermann expanded their family through adoption, welcoming Amaya and Andrew. Despite facing challenges during the adoption process, Hargitay embraces motherhood as a central aspect of her life, acknowledging her children as her greatest teachers.

Balancing the demands of work and family, Hargitay finds solace in her home, referring to it as her “happy place.” Describing her family as a “happy, joyful, chaotic, and crazy unit,” she underscores the importance of teamwork with Hermann in creating a harmonious and fulfilling life together.
