In a recent interview with Vogue, Rihanna disclosed that she merely uploaded a video of her baby boy to social media to outshine a paparazzi who had just taken a picture of him.
In his feature of the “Needed Me” singer for British Vogue, Giles Hattersley reported that during the cover shoot, security personnel saw a strange flash on the beach where Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their son—whose name is still unknown—were snapping pictures. They discovered it was a paparazzo attempting to take covert photos of the baby.
Hattersley was later told by Rihanna that the beach event was “the thing you never want to happen.”
As parents, it is up to us to choose when and how to do it. When the singer disclosed her son’s face to the world, she stated, “End of story.”
“Put me among the wolves.” Proceed as you please with me. However, he is not involved in any of this,” Rihanna went on. “So far, we’ve been looking out for him, and you don’t have my permission to sell or post pictures of my underage child. With that, get the hell out of here.
In the end, Hattersley’s profile disclosed that Rihanna and Rocky made the decision to block any paparazzi pictures of their baby by revealing his face only when it suited them.
“I instantly went into guarded mode. As if there was no time for anger at all. The founder of Fenty Beauty remembered, “[Rocky and I] drove up to the trailer area and we sat in the car chatting and working out how we move forward.” “It just feels so gross, like a violation, to us as parents.”
In the end, the parents shared a few personal pictures with a “friendly blogger” and made their son’s face visible in a TikTok that was uploaded to Rihanna’s account—which she had made right then and there—that December.

In another section of the British Vogue interview, Rihanna—who recently made public her pregnancy with Rocky—discussed her choice to play during the Super Bowl halftime show, having earlier declined to attend in support of Colin Kaepernick.
In response to inquiries on her eagerly anticipated follow-up album to 2016’s “Anti,” the singer told Vogue that it would be “ridiculous” not to release the record this year.
