Many modern musicians may trace their musical careers back to Michael Jackson, who is undeniably one of the most famous and influential singers of all time.

All of his performances, from the famous ‘Thriller’ and ‘Billie Jean’ to his instantly-recognizable moonwalk and the white glove, were unforgettable.

Because many fans couldn’t identify Michael Jackson without the iconic glove, it eventually became associated with the MJ brand.

A lot of people thought the glove was just another aspect of Jackson’s persona, something that set him apart from other musicians.

A close friend of Jackson’s asserted that the glove served as a means for Jackson to conceal his vitiligo, which is a tragic explanation.

As to the NHS, the skin disorder is characterized by the development of pale white patches and is a long-term illness.

It’s most prevalent on the face, neck, hands, and wrinkles, but it can affect any part of the body due to a lack of melanin, the skin’s pigment.

In the 1980s, MJ and actress Cicely Tyson were both clients of the same dress designer. Tyson passed away in 2021 at the age of 96.

So that Jackson could conceal his vitiligo, the designer informed her that he was having a glove made specifically for him.

In a 2019 interview with CNN, Tyson revealed: “The designer said, ‘I’m doing this glove for Michael.'”

“That glove was created with the intention of concealing the vitiligo.”

In a rare interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jackson acknowledged that he had the skin disease. The iconic musician went on to say that he found it hurtful when the press discussed it.

This is the situation: I suffer from a skin condition that completely eradicates my skin’s pigmentation. I am unable to assist with it, alright?” “Listen,” Jackson remarked.

It upsets me when people make things up about me and I don’t want them to be true to who I am. This is an issue that I am powerless to solve.

Many have wondered why Jackson wore only one glove instead of two throughout the years.

According to The Independent, Michael himself provided an explanation: “I thought that one glove was great. it appeared so mundane to wear two gloves.

It would have been very unusual to see two-gloved Jackson, and he makes a valid argument.
