The 53-year-old Jeremy Renner opened up about a snowplow accident he was in. On the SiriusXM show This Life of Mine, he told James Corden the tale. After the accident, Renner’s buddy Anthony Mackie went to visit him in the hospital, and he was grateful to him. Both Renner and Mackie have collaborated on films before, including Avengers films and The Hurt Locker.

Renner said that the link between them remains constant, even though they don’t spend much time together because of their hectic schedules and the demands of parenthood. He stressed how close they became while filming the Iraq War documentary The Hurt Locker.

Brian Geraghty, who was also in The Hurt Locker, is a close friend of Renner, Mackie, and another actor. Their bond goes beyond that of coworkers, and Renner pondered the surprising ways in which they had affected his life.

Mackie was the first person Renner saw upon waking up after the accident, according to Renner. He emphasized how they became quite close while shooting 2007’s The Hurt Locker in Jordan. The shared experience was transformative, according to Renner, and he values it in his relationships.

Renner has persevered through the difficult period following the disaster on January 1, 2023. Inspired by the events of the past year, he has published an album called Love and Titanium and is currently working on a series called Mayor of Kingstown for Paramount+. Renner is taking things slowly as he nears his acting comeback.
