Facing a challenging battle with cancer, actress Shannen Doherty shared a hopeful update on her health journey during her latest podcast episode. Known for her roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed,” the 52-year-old has been undergoing a new cancer infusion treatment, and after an uncertain start, she revealed a significant breakthrough.

“After the sixth and seventh treatment, we really saw it breaking down the blood-brain barrier,” Doherty expressed. Describing this development as a potential miracle, she attributes the progress to the medication and, perhaps, divine intervention, stating, “And that it’s actually breaking that blood-brain barrier is a miracle of that drug and a miracle of, you know, maybe God intervening and being like ‘I’m going to give her a break.'”

Confronting her health challenges, Doherty has also shared her wishes for the future. She envisions her funeral as a celebration of life, a joyous occasion resembling “a love fest,” where people express gratitude and celebrate rather than mourn. As for her final resting place, Doherty contemplates creative options for handling her ashes but remains undecided.

Despite her health journey, Doherty remains optimistic about love and the future. In a candid interview last November, she expressed readiness to find love again, confident that she won’t be single forever. Having recently separated from her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko, Doherty has focused on reconciling with her past and fostering self-love, welcoming a new partner into her life with newfound closure and openness.

Listeners can expect a deeper exploration of Doherty’s experiences with health, relationships, and career in her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” which premiered on December 6, 2023.
