Kevin Costner’s 2023 was marked by significant life events, including his departure from the hit show Yellowstone and the separation from his longtime partner, Christine Baumgartner. The couple, married for 18 years, faced a divorce marked by court battles and public attention. However, by the end of the year, reports emerged that Costner had entered a relationship with singer Jewel.
In 2024, it appears that Costner would prefer a calmer year, but he found himself in the spotlight again after presenting an award at the Golden Globes with America Ferrera.
Their on-stage banter, referencing Ferrera’s monologue from Barbie, garnered positive reactions from the audience. Costner praised Ferrera’s scene and highlighted the importance of conveying meaningful messages in films.
The online response to Costner and Ferrera’s interaction was generally positive, with viewers appreciating the humor and chemistry between the two presenters. Despite the ups and downs of the previous year, Costner’s light-hearted and engaging presentation at the Golden Globes showcased his ability to connect with the audience and find moments of levity in the midst of public attention.
