Angela Stribling, the beloved radio personality, jazz singer, and pioneering BET host whose warm voice became familiar to audiences across Washington, D.C., and beyond, has died at 58.
Her husband, Ken Washington, confirmed that Stribling passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 26, following a two-year battle with brain cancer. Her sister, Darlene, was also by her side during her final moments.
Washington shared the heartbreaking announcement in a statement that was also posted through Stribling’s social media and longtime radio home, WHUR 96.3 FM.
