Hayden Panettiere spent the final years of her life openly confronting one of her deepest losses: the sudden death of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere. Following Hayden’s own unexpected death at 36, the words she shared about grief, guilt and the hope of seeing her brother again have taken on a particularly poignant meaning.
Hayden and Jansen grew up surrounded by the entertainment industry, and both began acting when they were young. While Hayden eventually became internationally recognized through projects such as Heroes, Nashville and the Scream franchise, Jansen also developed a career in television and film.
His later years increasingly reflected another passion: art. Painting became an important form of expression for Jansen and, after his death, those works became some of Hayden’s most treasured reminders of him.
