According to TMZ, Knowings experienced the asthma attack on Friday, Aug. 7, and was rushed to a hospital in the Los Angeles area. She was placed on life support, but after four days her family made the heartbreaking decision to remove life-sustaining treatment. She died on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The news was confirmed by her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, who honored Knowings with an emotional message on Facebook.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Knowings joined the cast in 1997 and went on to appear in more than 30 episodes. She had loved the show long before becoming part of it, and it was her twin brother who encouraged her to audition after telling her she would fit perfectly with the cast. His advice proved correct, and she soon became one of the show’s familiar faces.
During her time on All That, Knowings worked alongside performers including Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Nick Cannon, Lori Beth Denberg, Danny Tamberelli, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Amanda Bynes.
One of her most memorable recurring sketches was Whateverrr!, in which she and Amanda Bynes portrayed two energetic, celebrity-obsessed teenage girls hosting their own television program.
Reflecting on the sketch during a 2019 interview with Bustle, Knowings said it represented something larger than comedy.

Among all of her characters, one remained especially close to her heart: Gloria Bankhead, an exaggerated, Martha Stewart-inspired personality she portrayed during her final season on All That.
Looking back years later, Knowings recalled staying in character throughout the filming day because everyone on set enjoyed the performance so much.
