A child in the Netherlands has become the first person under the age of 12 to undergo euthanasia since the country expanded its assisted-dying regulations to include younger children.
According to reports, the child, who suffered from a severe medical condition, died through medically assisted euthanasia after the law was broadened to cover children between the ages of 1 and 12.
