I had my own lawyer, and it was very, very bad. It could be a lifetime movie with all that we’ve been through.”

Brittany’s biological father, Todd Bachman, initially struggled to share his daughters with their mother’s new partner, Todd Cendrosky. But as time passed, the wounds healed. Both Todd Bachman and Todd Cendrosky built respectful relationships with each other and played vital roles in Brittany’s life.

A Wedding Dilemma

Brittany faced a dilemma in 2015 as she prepared to get married – she wished for both her biological and stepfather to walk her down the aisle. However, she was unsure about how her biological father, Bachman, would react.

“I finally just built up the courage to call him about two weeks before the wedding and said, ‘I really need to talk to you,’” Brittany explained.

To Brittany’s relief, Bachman demonstrated his understanding of her desires. On the wedding day, as he and Brittany were about to walk down the aisle, he turned to Todd Cendrosky and invited him, saying, “‘Hey, come with me. You’ve had just as big a part in raising this child. It’s time you and me walk our daughter down the aisle together.”

Cendrosky, Brittany’s stepfather, was moved to tears. He described the moment as the best of his life.
