The pit bull is a misunderstood breed that has suffered from a negative reputation.
Unfortunately, many people associate pit bulls with violence and aggression. However, like all dog breeds, their behavior is dependent on their upbringing and owner.
Just as children need proper training, dogs also require proper education. Although pit bulls are often larger than other breeds and have stronger bites, they can be trained to be well-behaved and gentle. It’s unfair to judge them based on their appearance alone. In fact, many pit bulls enjoy the company of other dogs.
Hurley, a brave and intelligent pit bull, is a prime example of a dog who defies stereotypes. He went above and beyond to protect a young boy from a snake.
Stacie Rae, the sister of Hurley’s owner, shared the story on Facebook. Her brother was walking Hurley in a field when they heard a child scream. Hurley immediately ran towards the sound, and his owner followed closely behind. They found Hurley had grabbed a copperhead snake away from the little boy and killed it.
Although the little boy had already left by the time they arrived, Hurley’s owner noticed that he had been bitten while protecting the child. The owner rushed Hurley to the hospital, where he received treatment for two puncture wounds on his upper lip.
Despite the close call, Hurley’s bravery saved the boy from being bitten multiple times. This story highlights the fact that not all pit bulls are dangerous. In fact, they can be hero dogs who save lives.
