Tim McGraw is remembering a difficult time as a dad.
The country singer, 55, recalled feeling teary-eyed after handing his daughter Gracie, 25, when she relocated to Los Angeles in an appearance on Audacy’s Rob + Holly on Monday.
“I traveled cross-country with my daughter when she relocated to Los Angeles. I removed every seat from my Cadillac Escalade and filled it with all of her belongings “He started.
I just lost it when I dropped her off, he acknowledged. “I subsequently had to take a solo trip home. I was in constant tears.”
Grace, Maggie, 23, and Audrey, 20, are the three girls that McGraw and his wife Faith Hill are raising.
The “It’s Your Love” singer talked on witnessing his children become grownups in an interview with Leo Edit from March 2021.
“It’s absurd. Time passes so quickly, “Before making a joke about his parenting, he told the site. “You believe that you are teaching children valuable things. You know, as a parent, you’re going to get half of it wrong, so look [laughs]. That’s just how things are. It does not come with a manual.”
“You start doing this when you begin keeping track of the years. And before you know it, they’ve grown so quickly that you seem to have a new child every two years as they get older “McGraw remarked.
Seeing them mature was described by the country singer as “wonderful but sometimes heartbreaking.”
